    I spend a bunch of time in the Western states and open carry is no big deal in most places outside of the liberal cities of the Mountain West. I don't have a problem with it. I don't do it often unless I am in bear or cat country, but I am not against it.

    I don't build AR's with forward assist any more. Why would you want to jam a round into the gun that had trouble chambering it in the first place. Rack it out of there and drive on.

    I have one on a 6.5, one on a .22 and one on a .223 AR. Nothing beats them for the money. I had one go down because I was very hard on it - competition rifle and they replaced it ASAP. And it failed becuase I beat on it mercilously.

    It has nothing to do with power. An electric motor creates instantaneous power / torque and significantly more than internal combustion engines. Hence why they are used on locomotives. It is the range based on storage capacity that is the issue.
