    Target Idea / Anyone Do This Yet?

    I mounted an angled plate to the back of my stand but it's to force the bullets into the ground. Should work well for your application too. I would think that the farther out you go, the handier it'd be.

    Thanks for the very informative and thorough report Irish. I too am interested in your results, especially being able to " tune" the cheaper ammo. Even at $200, it would pay for itself depending on a person's accuracy needs.

    I agree. In certain circles, Yotemans' 64 MPR would be considered " inferior equipment" , but the groups speak for themselves. That's just one example and didn't have to look hard to find it. I'm constantly upgrading my stuff even though I know I'll get my ass handed to me by a good shooter...

    I think the most important word in your post is " consistency". You can win by doing it wrong, you just have to do it wrong the same way every time. You see it in every type of competition, golf especially. But, I'm a firm believer that you have to believe in your equipment.

    Ha. Thanks. That thing's been with me for a long time. You can see the finish wear on the muzzle end. Lord knows how many snakes it's killed, but I don't remember ever shooting a mushroom with it.
