Right, but it's the best weight savings without giving up to much with the stock, bottom metal etc.

If you were going for lighter weight, then why not start with a Tikka Lite model?

I run Mcmillan stocks on all my remingtons and tikka's. I've bought manners in the past but I've returned them all after I received them due to barrel channels not cut straight, DBM inlets not centered, paint missing in alot of areas. Not bashing Manners as my buddy has never had any issues...

Participated in a local match over the weekend. Managed 7th out of 36 shooters and 2nd in the Intermediate class. Rifle did great, it was windy with fine moon dust filling the action and it never gave me any issues. I have another match this weekend, hopefully my good luck will follow me to...

I'm running the mediums. As for the J Allen, they claim it will be shipping this week or next, so I guess we will see. I've been waiting since May so what's another 2 weeks.

Finally made it to the range to test out a new 140ELDM load I made up and to try out the Gen2 Razor. Gotta say it's a great combo! I can't believe the glass clarity between the Gen1 and Gen2. Also got to try out a random 77GR Sierra TMK I had worked up for my AR in my 223 Varmint and it...

Here’s a sneak peak of our Tikka T3 2-Stage trigger. It’s really coming along nicely. We don’t have full specs or an ETA yet, but we’re hoping to have it available sometime in the middle of next year. Overall weight (for both stages) should be adjustable from around 2lbs to 5lbs #krg_ops...

This is just what I have heard second hand, but the Timney has more adjustment in it then the KRG trigger does. If memory serves me right, the KRG trigger second stage can only go as low as 2lbs. Again, this is all stuff I heard second hand so take it as it is. I love my timney 2 stage, but I...

You don't even need to change out the bolt stop if you don't want too. But besides that, just the appropriate bolt face, you are good to go.

Finally got my Gen2 on my 6.5CM. Next up, J Allen should be here in a few weeks. Then the 223 is taking the 6.5CM place in the McMillan.

Every metal mag is going to scratch brass. The only way to avoid it is by using MDT/Magpul mags but I haven't had great success with them in my Tikka's. I only run accurate mags and have never had any problems with them. I've had issues with my bullets being to far seated out and not feeding...

Although not a Manners, but my McMillan A5 with the factory cheek piece I have to remove the cheek piece to take the bolt out, or I found that to tbe easiest at least. There are few times where I have hit the bolt cut out with the cocking piece of the bolt and chipped the fiberglass.

I'm running the mountain tactical bottom metal and the bottom metal accepts the mags really easily but it took quite a bit of tinkering with the feed lips to get it running okayish. I eventually ditched them due to unreliability. Once I switch to the J Allen I will revisit the ARC mag.

Are you referring to the bolt handle you find on the lite models or the CTR/Tac A1 models? The CTR bolt handle didn't really allow me to get a firm grip on the factory handle, it wasn't comfortable and the Sterk allows for a quicker bolt cycle and it some of my rifles made my bolt lift feel...
