Member Link Up Hello Alaska shooters

Re: Hello Alaska shooters Last week in September would be a good choice for an AK shoot. Fishing is mostly over, as is hunting. The weather is usually still good too.

    Gunsmithing 6061 Aluminum Tube

Re: 6061 Aluminum Tube By pressing it in are you going to be able to keep everything as true as you want? From reading your posts I know that you like to indicate everything dead nuts. BTW, this is a fantastic idea. I can't wait to see the thread on its construction. You are really...

    AW Reviews?

Re: AW Reviews? Not to sound flippant, but the answer to that is simple....shoot it. Do I need it? No. If I did, I would probably work for an outfit with very deep pockets that would buy one for me. I want a Supercub, but I certainly don't need one (still actively looking though)...

    AW Reviews?

I had an opportunity on Friday to closely examine much of the AI product line (I was quite impressed). I have done my best to find reviews of the AW, but my Google-fu is not so hot, nor is my search-fu (didn't find much). They are a bit on the spendy side but.......are they worth the money?

Sooo....Who sells a real 1/2" moa AR Upper?

Re: Sooo....Who sells a real 1/2" moa AR Upper? I know that this is heresy here on the 'Hide, but my input is Olympic Arms Ultramatch. I have had two (still have one of them) and both were unbelievably accurate. No, they are not a military grade rifle, but neither is an Anschutz.

Gunsmithing Glock specialist in the OKC area

Re: Glock specialist in the OKC area Last Glock armorers course I attended we got to do some swapping around of trigger parts. A NY trigger and a light connector make for a decidedly un-Glock like trigger (very nice) with about a 4.5 lb pull. Of course, being that they are department guns...

    Rifle Scopes SWFA 1-4X SS

Re: SWFA 1-4X SS At a price point of around $750.00, I would have to go with the Trijicon Accupoint. I like the idea of the SS 1-4, but not at $750.00.

    Gunsmithing Pillar Material...6061 or 7075?

Thoughts? I have three feet of 6061 5/8" round. Got it for free. Was thinking about 7075 but the shipping is ridiculous.

Maggie’s Saturday-Walk Naked in America Day

Don't forget to mark your calendars. As you may already know, it is a sin for Muslim males to see any woman other than his wife naked, and if he does, he must commit suicide. So, next Saturday at 1 PM Eastern Time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help...

    Gunsmithing threading tools

Re: threading tools I take light passes and thread at amateur speed with the Kenametal. I don't like threading fast, since I'm not that coordinated. Perhaps I should go faster, but I'm not going to do so. If I want to go to the shoulder, I just cheat. I turn off the lathe and turn it by...

Gunsmithing Alaska gunsmiths? Need some work done.

Re: Alaska gunsmiths? Need some work done. I think that your best bet is to send it to GA Precision. I don't know of anyone in AK doing the kind of work that you want. I agree about WWG. I wouldn't let them touch my Daisy Red Ryder, let alone something more expensive.
