    That’ll be a solid setup for sure! And good to hear on that handguard. I’ve never used larue parts minus the mounts. It’ll be spring before I get to build her, but at least I can start a parts list.

    What kind of barrel cost 30K?! I’ve never bought a higher end barrel, and the enhanced Aero receivers are as fancy as I’ve got. But, I commission in May and that O1E pay is going to be pretty sweet compared to what I’m used to.

    Reliability and precision would be the top two factors. Weight savings is always nice, but not a big factor.

    A solid build for this price is definitely doable. Mine was around $1,600 but I dropped in a Geissele trigger and the PRS stock, JP SCS, etc which pushed the price up. Great work for a “budget” build! Not a bad looking rig either!

    I’m a big fan of the Lantac Dragon. But, it’s expensive. The VG6 line has good options for half the price and after running one on my buddy’s build, they seem to do the job well. If you decide you want a Dragon, I’d sell mine (ASR version) for $90 shipped.

    Another vote for the BA barrels. I’ve had 5 now, one being a 22” fluted in 6.5 CM. They have all shot sub MOA with factory hornady. Working on testing some hand loads later this week. The 22” is heavy but most long range precision rigs are. Either buy them from primary arms or other retailers...

    Lantac SPADA-M handguard, 13.5” Comes with barrel nut and in original packaging as from factory. Basically new, may have faint marks from a bipod attachment. $150 shipped. Paypal F/F These appear to have recently been discontinued but run $200-$250 from most online retailers.

    I’ve had pins fall out, trigger springs installed wrong, etc. Definitely go over any new build you get, or, as mentioned above, just build it yourself.
