Washington state monthly matches at Upper Nisqually Sportsman's Club

Yeah, it was strange going two months without shooting but when I got back on my rifle it was like I never left. I would sit at the desk in my hotel room and close my eyes shooting an imaginary rifle. I was staying at the Oberoi Gurgaon and they would give me everything I wanted expect for a...

Hi, Like Unknown said, compete against yourself. Set certain goals such as "I'm going to have first round hits on X% of my targets." When I first started shooting the UNC matches the better shooters counseled me to focus on hits and they said speed would come. Roll forward one year and I'm...

It was great to see how well represented we were at Sage Flats. I came home with an extra bag and my wife asked why. I explained that I had my ass handed to me and had to bring it back for re-attachment. Sage Flats was a huge learning experience. Marksmanship was only a third of the match...

Hey Bigwheels - great to hear from you. How is the new job? I picked up a Class C RV back in November and took it to the Sage Flats match. Having an RV at the match site is pure luxury.

Hi, I'm left handed. Once you get a proper left hand bolt gun you will not go back. I have several rifles that you are welcome to try out including a LH AIAW. Just PM me with your logistics and we can figure out how to meet. Regards, Ed

Hi Shamir, FWIW, I have Travis building me a complete rifle in 6.5x47. It will be ready next week. I decided to go with Travis when I saw the level of service he gave my shooting buddy Steve. You can't go wrong with Travis. Regards, Ed

I used Tornado twice - terrific work. Sometimes they can take a while as they do their work in lots by thread size. As them about the lead time for your particular thread size. The first time I used them I waited almost four months. The second time my work was completed in a week.

powder trickler that lets go of only one kernel at a time???

Jake, I just got my Omega trickler today and loaded 200 rounds with it. I set my Chargemaster to .2 grains low and trickle up. Most of the time I can get the Omega trickler to throw one grain...every now and then it will drop two. This technique eliminates the time wasted when the...

Bench Source recommends the torches remain horizontal. Pointing them down too much will direct heat toward the Bench Source unit. If the video in the first post is representative of your setup, try moving the torches closer instead of pointing them down. It doesn't sound like you compromised...

I went to the link: Flame test - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and it says zinc is Colorless (sometimes reported as bluish-green). On another site it says zinc "Zinc appears as bright streaks in the flame." Flame Tests I'm not going to worry too much about this. Orkan and Varmint...
