    I own a PST 6-24x and some of my buddies have a SIII. The SIII glass is better, eye relief is better too. Not sure the cost differences on the FFP models, but if you can pay the premium, the Sightron is a good buy. Otherwise, I've been happy with my PST. Actually upgrading it to the Razor...

    Rifle Scopes Schmidt & Bender lens is made of ???

    I don't know the specifics, but this holds truth. Look at camera forums with lenses that are cracked and yet still take good pictures. To me, it looks like a scratch and damage to the coating of the lens.

    I believe higher end scopes use oil impregnated metals. So no grease. Much like a bushing, etc.

    I've owned the 20" version. Replacing the the stock is definitely #1. B&C's are cheaper and good quality. I use the stock I had the ACC-SD in and put my 5R in it. Still enjoy the stock for the price. The trigger isn't that bad when tuned properly. My Timney is nothing to write home about...
