    Illinois guy here too. Check with your county sheriff and find out if he plans on enforcing the law. Mine is not. I think the only county that is going to get hosed is Cook. Most other counties will fight it.

    I've got a reaper and another light that I can't remember the name of. The reaper is definitely brighter. I would definitely recommend getting a light with an adjustable focus beam. You can really dial it down and get some range out of it.
