    I have the Hornady case feeder on the my AP. It's worked fantastic so far. If you read the directions, I don't see how anyone can hate it. I use it to load 45 and 9mm.

    That's not entirely true. Strictly based on performance they are all really similar, but if we are talking about a short action then the 6.5x47 has a much greater ability to chase the lands as the throat wears and still fit an in a magazine.

    Well if he's building a 6.5x47 the AIAE might not be the best choice if he's running that cartridge to it's full potential. Since the 47 has a small rifle primer, it benefits from having a bushed firing pin. My understanding is the AIAE/AW cannot be bushed and can cause premature primer failures.

    Right, I missread the manual. The "R" designates the calibrated reticle. Man, I was about to pick this up, but since I've been using FFP scopes this whole time I don't think I can commit to 25 power.

    With the AICS pull, the action out and see if you don't notice some "marks" where the bedding block contacts the action. I wouldn't worry about it if you plan on shooting it.

    I would think all you need now is a rail and maybe a brake if its already threaded. Getting the bolt fluted doesn't help right now, and if you take the rifle apart to true it and reset the barrel, you might as well get a new barrel. Get a good scope, rings, base and as much ammo as you can...

    Frank, any updates on the broken links from Google? I've been searching for older threads and while they pop up on Google, the same title doesnt appear on SH search. I also get a few warnings when I search via SH, search is too long, too short, too common etc.

    Re: how far can I cut down a .308 barrel I took my rifle out to compare some velocity differences between Win and Lapua cases and the same load. While I still have to write this up for my rifle here, are the results. For me, the 190 SMK's are shooting fantastic from my 21" TacOps.
