Night Vision Cabelas Hellhound thermal by Armasight

I'm still awaiting a response from Cabela's on the 2-8, their site states the warranty is only 3 years.

    DA on a Budget?

I bought one of these after I got my kestrel 4500, just for a backup: http://www.ambientweather.com/spwm350.html#caption When side by side with the kestrel, they read quite close to one another. Works quite well for my uses

I'm desiring a .22lr that I don't think exists on the market right now… Thoughts?

My 10/22 is setup almost like you're wanting, excepting the threaded barrel. To do the stock change, trigger upgrade, lightweight barrel, front sight parts and rear sight parts, I think I'm close to $700.00 in mine. If you get a steel barrel rather than lightweight aluminum, you could probably...

    Boots for competition?

You might want to look at zappos dot com. They have a pretty good selection, free shipping and return shipping. I've had no issues at all with returns, of course unworn except in the house to test fit.

    Gunsmithing Drill press recomendation

+1 to what wintermute suggested regarding older good iron, and also keep an eye out for a good deal on a used mill if you have the room. I picked up a decent Burke mill a few years ago for rather cheap and retired my drill press to the wood shop.

    In-Ear Electronic Protection questions

I've been using a set of ESP analog custom fits since 2003 w/o issue for hunting, shooting and as cheaper, albeit adequate for me hearing aid. I have been thoroughly pleased with them and with the custom molding, they are comfortable for all day, everyday use. I did briefly try out one of the...

    Dillon 550B, absolutely LOVE it

I too just recently started using a 550 for 9mm, what a joy compared to the ole rock chucker. Ditto on going through the components quickly. My only regret regarding the 550 is not getting one many years ago.

    Tripod for Spotting scope

I've been using a Vortex Ridgeview for several years w/o issues. Not the lightest, but certainly stout enough as long as you're not extended all the way and have a good wind blowing. I have beat the crap out of it and it works well for my uses.

Rifle Scopes Three low-end scopes: Which one?

FWIW, I use a couple of the Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 v-plex and they work well, are clear and repeatable. I think they're hard to beat for the $$$, and CameralandNY often has them for $279.00 ish. I like them enough that I am wanting to get another, but they are OOS for the time being.

Building Steel Plate target stands...Need Ideas/pics of what works

I got tired of the fixed leg brackets so I made up some adjustable standards w/hinges to allow for leg adjustments. I can also use different lengths of 1" square tubing for the legs and hangar bars to suit my needs. Next ones will be 3/4" tubing as the 1" admittedly is a bit overkill I think...

low budget spotting scope for rimfire practice

I don't think you're asking too much, unless you want/expect the resolution from the much higher dollar items. I've got a Minox MD 50 angled version 16-30x50 that I keep in my gear bag, works wonderful, quite compact and the price is right too at about $200.00 (from Cameraland NY).
