Rifle Scopes Weaver...Picatinny Question

Re: Weaver...Pictanny Question If you mount one ring to the front of the slot and the other to the rear of the slot you can greatly minimize the amount of slop present in the narrower weaver style. I use the burris sig zees mostly and occasionally remove and remount scopes for whatever...

Rifle Scopes Burris signature zee rings on picatinny rail

Re: Burris signature zee rings on picatinny rail The weaver slot is about .025" less in width than the picatinny slots. When using weaver type rings with pic rails I mount one ring to the forward edge in the slot and the other ring to the rear of the slot and have never had any issues.

Re: IGood Gun Safes?...Recommendations. I have had one of the Winchester safes (made by Granite) from Sam's Club for about 10 years, suits my purpose well. It's not too expensive ($599.00), not huge nor real heavy (600 lbs +), but all bolted...

Re: Your longest kill... Prarie dogs, 500 ish. Big game, antelope at 577, 300 WSM, I didn't see it fall for the recoil, but the guys with me said picture perfect- tail end went down followed by the chin slamming the dirt, DRT. Personally, I still prefer to not shoot beyond 300 on big game...

Re: 300. wsm capabilies on game like elk and moose? Although I have no experience with the Accubond 180 grainers, I have used the 165 grainers on several elk (50-350 yards)and they have performed very well. I am very a happy camper launching them @ 3,300 fps @ 9500' ASL. Personally, I...

    6.5 Bullet lengths compared

I just finished a .260 Saturday and before loading up some rounds, I decided to do some bullet measuring. I have Nosler CC 140, SMK 120, 123 and 142 and some Hornady SST 129. Measuring a handful (25)from each box of 100, I was surprised at what I found. All measurements were taken from base to...
