On the unknown distance, uncertain size... we're doing this during the July team shoot. This match will not have any UKD stages, all target distances will be announced. Different zero
You're right... and I was going to suggest that. Probably the torque on the action wasn't the same when you got your zero, as it was after you removed the action and re-torqued things. Getting setup for 308...die recommendations?
There are lots of ways to approach this one... but I've always gotten along very well with RCBS dies, and I do like the Lee Collet for neck sizing. These are not too expensive, and seem to do the job well. At least now, the largest variable in the equation is me--not my rifle or my loads. :)- Dan Newberry

Are IMI match brass .308 any good?
It's good stuff, but heavier than Winchester. It's more on par with FC and LC as far as volume, and seems to be sturdy stuff. If it's virgin brass, that's not a horrible price... but probably 200 for the batch would be more than fair for buyer and seller.- Dan Newberry

2000MR + 308 + 155 SMK Palma OCW test
Your scatter node at 46.4 points to an OCW right around 48.1 grains, and the next node wouldn't come around until 49.5, which may be too high. I'd probably go with 48.1 and call it done...- Dan Newberry

Good glass is pretty key to spotting... we've not found anything better than Vortex HD stuff... the new Kaibab 20x56 binocs I've been using have been absolutely phenomenal... Cool... though my beloved .308 did top the list, the 6's and 6.5's are still obviously the rifles to beat.
