Ashbury Precision Ordnance Sniper's Hide Edition Rifle

Can you say what all specifically is done to the action by the armorers? Is a full blueprint?

    Newbie reading list

I actually got that for Christmas last year. I was looking more for positional instructions. Is the Army or USMC shooting instruction online? Are there any other shooting manuals out there that help with unsupported instruction?

    Newbie reading list

I haven't gotten the chance to take a formal class yet. I've only shot pass 100yds once. I have a lot of experience with bench 22lr. I'm looking for a fundamentals reading list. I've listened to all of Frank's podcasts. I'm not looking to compete. For me, I want to hit what I aim at all...

    MPA EVG

I saw a couple of photos. https://masterpiecearms.com/shop/mpa-enhanced-vertical-grip/ It seems like whatever that section just behind of the trigger on the right side would be in the way, especially if you had smaller hands. Is it removable or is it not as obtrusive as it appears?

    Hand stop vs vertical grip

What I am confused by is what makes it a vertical grip vs a hand stop. I have a 11.5" pistol with a Law Tactical folder and a SBa3

    Hand stop vs vertical grip

I have not been able to get a clear picture of what the ATF views as one as opposed to the other. Anyone have some inside info? TIA

Episode 103 non dominant eye shooting

Is anyone aware of a way to train the eye without being behind a scope? I don't have a great way to get reps in on a consistent basis.

Episode 103 non dominant eye shooting

Thanks. I absolutely get why we set up a rifle the way we do. I think Frank's analogy of a slab of dead meat behind the rifle is a great one. If that slab of meat is pushing thing one way it will. If you're driving the rifle with your muscles that tension is not the same and we all know...

Episode 103 non dominant eye shooting

Not having an adjustable butt pad I am curious about how if the rifle is set up for the strong side shoulder pocket how awkward it is on support side? Obviously it can be trained around but it would in my mind be pretty uncomfortable.

Episode 103 non dominant eye shooting

Took your advice and and spent my dryfire time today working non-dominant eye/ support side. It's been a long time since I practiced that. I was having my dominant eye superimpose non magnified information right in the center of my crosshair. If I closed my dominant eye quickly I could get a...

Theoretical question for a "no wind" zero

If one were to shoot for zero in a tunnel, would it result in a true zero or would there be a pressure wave that would disturb the trajectory? If it's size dependant, how big would the tunnel have to be to negate standard rifle cartridges (6.5cm, .308, 30-06, not .338LM or .50BMG)

    Episode 94

As far as the copyright goes, I thought you owned the rights and you would need to file suit over unlicensed use of those rights. The owner is responsible for the policing.

Cast bullest in a 450 Bushmaster?

A friend of mine picked up a 450 Bushmaster upper. He's talking about loading up some cast lead and slinging them @~2300fps. My first thought was that these things were going to come apart. I have no experience with cast bullets. I had in the back of my mind that there was a speed limit to...

The Everyday Sniper Episode 91 Caylen Wojcik

@Lowlight I know you're sick and tried of rehasing the competition gaming and I haven't read all the threads about it, but I did have a question about why there aren't classes in the match. Limited and open kind of thing. Limited could be one bag, a tripod, and a bipod while running only...

Anyone used anything other than 1:16?

I been pondering if there could be any benefit derived from playing with twist rate. I've also wondered if anyone ever tried gain twist on a 22 and by wonder I mean I'm sure someone has tried it and what did they find.

    Episode 86

I don't mean to say that a better solution isn't part of the game. What I was envisioning was where the spirit of the stage was broken. I wish I could remember where I heard it, but I think Frank mentioned it in a podcast somewhere along the way. The stage said that the rifle must be in...

    Episode 86

I get there is a learning curve. It's not that I expect to be competitive on my first go-around. I expect that that the playing field is level on my first go-around.

    Episode 86

So I relistened to Episode 84. I found "The Jersey Letter" and the followup. From someone who has never seen a match beyond a private, local 22 match, I don't know if I want to attend. The match I shot was a $5 buy in per round (5 shots/round) highest score splits with the house. I always...

    Episode 86

I listened to the podcast and I obviously am behind in some conversations. I don't need to get into a debate on the issues. I don't shoot any comps yet. I am try in to figure out what Frank is talking about. Specifics. What are people doing? I understand the prize table thing. That is...
