    Inner workings of a semi-auto.

I am going to guess we are talking about an AR. Assuming that..... If you increase recoil spring weight too much or dial out too much gas, the bolt carrier won't have enough velocity to clear the rear of the mag to strip a new round. I'm not saying that it can't be done because people tune AR...

    Aftermarket LOP hardware

To me that is basic. I guess I was referring to a mill or some such.

    Aftermarket LOP hardware

Is there such a thing that can be installed with basic hand tools? Are the spacer systems the best way to go on something like this? It's for a stock not a chassis.

    The Everyday Sniper Episode 28

An idea with the problem of visual aids on the podcast. Could you add links, pictures, etc to these posts so we can reference what you are taking about? A quick idea for the audio if your other solution doesn't pan out, if you take both mics and bring them into another mixer then take that...

Finally picked up a Mosin Nagant...

I'll admit the first stage is looooong, but it breaks clean.

Finally picked up a Mosin Nagant...

I have a Finnish M39. I like the stock a lot better on it rather than the 91/30. Trigger is head and shoulders above the Russian as well.

Is my old injury a good thing?

I have spent my time getting my strong side sorted I have neglected my support side almost completely. I unfortunately don't get out enough to be sure if it's me not being consistent on my support side or bad trigger press on the strong side. Life just keeps getting in the way.

Is my old injury a good thing?

I with you. Not what I would want to do if I had it to do over but I was watching the videos on trigger press. I couldn't figure out if/ how it might effect my motion. If I should adjust my hand position somehow. Part of my brain says I have more space to place the trigger bow. There is...

What do I not know about Savages?

Well this is where it sits now. I just need a day to do the scope tracking and zero it.

Is my old injury a good thing?

About 15 years ago I screwed up and tried to have two objects occupy the same space at the same time. More specifically my trigger finger and a spinning tablesaw blade. (BTW I wouldn't recommend doing that.) I didn't loose it but did have to get the first joint fused. I have shot just fine...

How does just picking the mid point make things work out?

    Kestrel settings confusion

Ok. It's starting to make more sense to me. Is DA more of a short hand for temp, barometric pressure, etc? Is it any more precise that just adding in all the other factors to a calculator?

    Kestrel settings confusion

I have an older 3500. If I set the barometric pressure reference altitude to 0, does that mean that when I look at the altitude that the meter shows that is density altitude? Sorry if this is totally wrong or seems confusing but I am getting lost in what is what and the more I read the worse...

    Range Report Theoretical question

The discussion about hyper-stabilization, gain twist, and solid projectiles mixed with the old internet curiosity, the .22 Eargesplitten Loudenboomer. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/.22_Eargesplitten_Loudenboomer Does this new technology make this any more viable? I know it doesn't make it...

    Kestrel calibration

Has anyone ever heard of one needing recalibrated? Is it possible to have one recalibrated or even to fall out of calibration? Just curious. I don't think I have an issue with mine. It's a 3500, so no software. Just a weather station.

    The Everyday Sniper Episode 16

I have a 3500 I got for Christmas 4-5 years ago. I was wondering if that was going to work for now or if that wasn't really going to help.
