    1000 Yard Velocity

    I use the 155gr A-Max and if you run it at 2900fps, the velocity at 1K is still 1294fps. If you look at a comparison of wind drift and TOF (time of flight), you may find out that the 155 is a much better way to go.

    Loading 223 using 8208

    I load Lapua 223 brass with 22.6gr of 8208 and am getting 2940 with a 28" 1:8. Have shot it out to 1K yards and it works great!!!

    In my mind, the ATACR with MOAR reticle is the way to go!!! I have been using one since May, and couldn't be happier. Now, if the BEAST that I ordered in March would just get here........

    Is the NightForce BEAST out there?

    I placed a call to NF yesterday, and was told they shipped the first one out last week. Also said they will begin to fill orders when they have enough scopes to fill the order. They won't send out a scope here and there, just complete orders. He also said they quit taking backorders mid summer.

    I have a Leica 1600 and it is awesome. I cannot get it to read over 1999, but have had great luck with it out to that distance.

    Gas gun guy now loading for a bolt gun

    I do not use the same dies for reloading both guns. I have a dedicated set for the bolt gun, and another set for the gas gun. For bolt gun, I only neck size and I anneal after every second firing.

    I love my Atlas. I have the BT-10 and move it from gun to gun without much problem. For the time it takes to use the screws, the price difference is a lot.
