Its just like the ai style gap knob, just a little bigger. I tried asking gap if it was possible to do a more aggressive and longer sweep for the bolt handle but no luck. Still have mine as well. I ended up removing the factory ball knob and the jb weld on the handle's thread to install a glades armory round knob. Makes the action feel even faster. Gap needs to release a long action of the tempest already- jb41291
