50 BMG Headspace tool and bullet comparator

I just bought a Sinclair comparitor. It is too small to accept brass fired in a bolt gun. So it can't be used as a bump gauge. I checked reviews, all 1 star and they say the same thing. Necropost, but it might save somevody $20.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

It probably serves no purpose but peace of mind. OEM did it, so I did it.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

The trigger on my first SPR was the best trigger I'd ever felt until I got a PBR that had one that can be safely set to a slightly lighter pull weight. Same type of trigger. That PBR I got here has been great. Just bang the epoxy off, turn to the weight you like, verify it's safe by dropping...

Reloading Equipment WTT 8 lbs of H4350 or H4895 for 8 lbs of IMR 8028 xbr PHX AZ

I'm in central AZ with cash and a few intermediate caliber powders. If Bruno's has your powder, this could work nicely.

Hell yeah. That reminds me to update the OP to delete the reserved pound of LilGun. I had two pounds of Varget, but I gave them away to a friend. 😭

    Desert Tech still in business?

They ended up finally reaching out to me about my order, by sending a letter saying they were going to pursue legal action against me for taking money from them. Not being a bank and instead being a customer without the ability to remove money from somebody's accounts, I reached out again to...

    Reloading Equipment WTT my (LilGun, Re33, a5744, a1680) for your (H4350, H4895)

I very heavily considered being deathly ill those days and unable to go to work. If I got to Big Sandy, I'd likely be instantly cured. I also have 1600 rounds of M80 I'd like to sell. Might be the perfect place. I take it you're interested.

New Bergara with metal shavings in barrel

Necropost, forgive me. I went to run a boresnake through my new Bergara b14r before shooting it the first time. I couldn't get the brass weight through. I pulled it back out the breach and it was coated in a thick, yellow-brown grease. Thicker than bacon grease thick. I pushed it out with a...

    5.56 becoming obsolete

Guys that like 6.5 grendel should try engaging moving targets with it and 5.56 and report back. 2600fps is noticeably slower than 3200. After you do that, compare them on a scale and remember an infantryman carries ammo around far more than shoots it. I am a big fan of the 6mm grendels as...

    5.56 becoming obsolete

How is 6.8 SPC superior? By being much slower or by being much heavier? Low BC bullets going slow from a heavy intermediate cartridge likely mean worse hit percentage and less ammunition on the soldier. Sounds like a lose-lose. Feel free to shoot deer with the .270 Remington Short, but I...

    5.56 becoming obsolete

300 BLK and 6.8 SPC will replace 5.56 when they weigh less and have better velocity. Oh wait, they never will.

    Zenith Z5 series

The Zenith imported MKE guns marked "Z-5P" and "Z-5RS" dried up years ago, before I got a POF "MP5" marked one. Century now imports the MKE guns as "AP-5". The Zenith guns presently up for preorder (ZF-5) at $2,500 are to be clones made in the US, not licensed MP5s like the MKE or POF. The...

Advice on a silenced 308 gasser?

The rifle I'd been looking for was to be my new hunting rifle for elk, and none of those groups was good enough for it. A cow elk's vitals are gigantic, near basketball size profile. The bullets I've been using are effective 400-475 yards depending on barrel and temperature. 3.5" x...

Advice on a silenced 308 gasser?

A 2" group at 100 yards is not MOA. You know, nevermind. This is what I was talking about at the beginning of this thread. People say something is wonderful without proof and despite proof to the contrary. They just put it out there with no shame. "nEVeR hAD aNy pRObLeMs wITh mINe"

Advice on a silenced 308 gasser?

You don't tweak a load down to MOA from 3 MOA. You tweak a load from inconsistent velocity to consistent. There is something wrong with that rifle.
