KRG Tikka T3 Whiskey 3 Chassis for use on .260REM and 308WIN Sako TRG22

When running a factory TRG and factory stock I used the TRG KRG magazine release which is great. However, when you put the W3 butt on the TRG you need to have a longer (T3 style) KRG magazine release to use AI magazines. The magazine release catch is just knocking out a slim pin and easy...

KRG Tikka T3 Whiskey 3 Chassis for use on .260REM and 308WIN Sako TRG22

I have a Tikka T3 in .260Rem that is in an Whiskey 3 chassis. I can put my Sako TRG22 trigger group in the T3 which is awesome. I have put the Whiskey 3 chassis butt on the TRG to shoot cheaper .308WIN for training. I use the TRG factory forend on the TRG with AI magazines but they are a bit...

I have put the Whiskey 3 chassis butt on the TRG to shoot cheaper .308WIN for training. I use the TRG factory forend on the TRG with AI magazines but they are a bit floppy...

    Muzzle brake affecting shooting position?

.308 WIN rifles can easily be rebarrelled to shoot .260 Rem, sharing the same action and magazines and stock etc... A 308 is cheap to run comparitively with good barrel life and cheap reloading components, but it isn't really a good long range performer. You could get a tired 308 that fits you...

    Muzzle brake affecting shooting position?

300 WIN MAG is a great way to develop flinch if it is your first Centre-fire rifle. As mentioned above, .260Rem will do the same thing trajectory wise to steel with much less recoil (hardly any with a brake).

MATCH REPORT: Gunslinger Team Challenge at Sparrowhawk New Zealand 31 May, Jun 1-2 2014

Kakumba - it was roughly about 100 rounds for the competition for the Precision Shooter. More for the Operator / semi-auto team member. There is opportunity to re-shoot some stages on the bad weather day set aside. I took 200 rounds (just over Jetstar / Qantas's 5 kg limit). You will probably...

Accuracy International AIAW vs. Sako TRG-22 - My Experience with Both

Great write-up XOR! An excellent read. Some observations from shooting (approx 3300 hot rounds) my TRG22 in .308WIN: Bi-pod: I have been quite competitive shooting F-Class here in Australia with the factory bi-pod. It likes to be loaded heavily (I sewed a grooved door mat onto my shooting...
