    Proof Research???

    Curious to know what load you're using. I have 2 6.5-284's, one with a 28" Benchmark/Proof Barrel and one with a 28" Hart barrel. I have a load at 2950fps with the Hart barrel - hammers but with some ejector marks/primer flattening. Been using H1000 in the Proof barrel with no pressure signs...

    RL 17 and a good starting point for 140 A max

    you will probably get more than that. Some are getting 2900fps+ with RL-17 and 140's.

    6.5x284 with h1000 vs 6.5saum

    You have another video where you're shooting the Berger 140 Hybrid's at 1690. Which one do you find more consistent at long range? Also, you seem to get more velocity out of the Lapua 136L. Any reason, or are you just loading them hotter?

    I have 3 Proof/ABS barrels. One is a 300 WSM wrapped over a Rock barrel. One is a Benchmark that is nitrided and wrapped in 6.5-284 (bought here on SH). The third is a custom Proof build in 7WSM. All 3 shoot better than I do.

    Help selecting Left Handed short action for build

    I have all of the above except for the Big Horn and am a lefty too. I would go with the Stiller. I live in Dallas and went out to pick mine up. Very impressed with them. I have a new LH Templar V2 and would rather work the Stiller. Feels smoother. People seem to really love the Bighorn too.
