    260 with Lapua Brass, H4831sc and Berger Hybrid 140's -- Anyone??

    I use 7828ssc which has a comparable burn rate. I get 2800fps with Lapua 136L and 46.0gr. Very accurate with low ES and SD.

    6.5x284 with h1000 vs 6.5saum

    I have a 6.5-284 bought here on the hide with a Proof wrapped Benchmark nitrided barrel. Easily get over 3000fps with H1000 and no pressure signs. Very accurate.

    So... I noticed that the 190 Matrix (.673), 180 Berger Hybrid (.674) , and the 175 Nosler ABLR (.672) all have essentially the same BC. I assume you can push the ABLR a little faster, but the Matrix bullets have more mass. Any opinions on a "best" bullet for this caliber? Going on an elk...

    7LRM Load Data

    What about Ramshot Magnum? Comparable burn rate to H1000. Might get some more velocity as well. Also might try PP4000 MR. Waiting to get my TS Customs 7LRM barrel from Primal Rights currently. Great service. Very eager to try this out. Also have a couple 6.5 SAUMs.

    I agree with above. Sentinel is well thought out. It just feels right. I have one with 308 (Surgeon) and 260 (Stiller Tac 30) barreled actions that are interchangeable. Both shoot great.

    I have had the same problem with a TAC30 AW which is smooth as butter now - used some of the recommendations above. I have a Templar V2 now that is very tight - cerakoted FDE. I haven't worked it loose yet.

    I have multiple Proof/ABS barrels. Had good luck with them. I've looked into the same thing. I think the way to go would be to buy a barrel from Proof and send it to Short Action Customs.
