    I would be very curious of what you think you are going to get from shimming the bolt. If the factory shimmed the bolt for an acceptable head space for using various 22 ammo whats to gain? The V22 is headspaced rather tight and owners have reported problems with some ammo.

    I don't have a clue, I bought it I didn't make it. Looks like Winchester used the same mold to make both the long and short receiver rifles. You can see that even clearer from the molding block-outs in the floor plate area.
