    I've tried break in procedures, and just shooting. I havent found a difference in the end. Barrels definitely break in and shoot better, but cleaning between shots doesn't make a difference.

    45 raptor would be AR10 variant. If I didnt have all the socom stuff I would look into going that way. 375 raptor might be next auto though.

    I love my 458. I have a kak barrel and bcg. Shoots excellent, and couldn't beat the price. Keep in mind you will need to mill out the ejection port unless you buy an upper specific for big bores. Aero makes one.

    Put it together yourself. Parts are dirt cheap right now. Especially if you are in no hurry and watch the sales. My 458 is my cheapest ar build by a long shot.

    I'm not sure about the chickens but guineas definitely do the job. I've watched a couple of my moms guineas kill a good size timber rattler a couple years ago. That's the whole reason she keeps the noisy bastards with the chickens.
