Value of once fired 223 norma brass ?

At the gun show here last weekend clean same headstamp OFB 223 brass was selling for $15/100 for regular brands. Maybe Norma would be worth more.

LC 556 brass and AMP Aztec codes

Today I used 5 once fired LC17 and ran them through the sizing die to uniform the necks for testing. All 5 are code 127. Found another 10 different years of LC and after including those the LC only average is 126. The average for all 74 cases dropped to 129. T and Wolf were 142 and 138...

LC 556 brass and AMP Aztec codes

No neck turning...just gathered as many as I could find to see what would happen. If I had some that I knew were the same lot and turned it would be interesting to see the results.

LC 556 brass and AMP Aztec codes

In a non scientific test of LC 556 brass I used the AMP Aztec function to see how the codes across several years compared. They obviously produce these by the millions but they look to be fairly consistent for the samples I have. For a total of 54 different headstamps of 223/556 the overall...

    5.56 NATO load data 69 - 77 grain

Using the 556 load data from Western Powders I worked up to the listed max of 25.8 grs. of Tac, a 75gr RMR BTHP and LC brass. Tested in a 16" barrel. A potent load but undoubtedly hard on the rifle.

    SDI 5.56X45 brass.

Started seeing this brass on the range today. Appears to be made by SDI in India. No Nato mark or crimped primer. These are advertised as reloadable but the primer pocket is oversized and won't hold any primer that I have. Looks like the only thing their good for is scrap metal.

    Dillon Super 1050/RL1050/RL1100 Loading

I have the same problem with AA#7 and 9 leaking during reloading. Some folks are shimming with tape. Others are contacting Dillon.

I noticed WOA is threading their varmint barrels with 5/8x24...probably the added mass as well I'm guessing.

SS Wet Tumbling: Chips vs Pins

I started rotary tumbling back when RCBS introduced the Sidewinder. Wore out 2 of the drums that they used to replace for free. Still have some of their liquid media concentrate. Then I changed to the Rebel 17. I found through trial and error there is a sweet spot when the right amount of brass...
