    16-18 inch shorty rifles

Yeah I have read that Varget is a bit slower in a 223 than some other good powders so that’s probably most of it. Is your Tikka barrel factory? I am at 2755 with Varget with the 75’s and 2721 with the 80 ELDMS. Not sure how close that is to your velocities.

Can't get comfortable on my ranges shooting tables...

That’s why I enjoy it so much. It’s more challenging than shooting prone or off a bench.

Cole-Tac is good stuff. So is Precision Underground.

Can't get comfortable on my ranges shooting tables...

Maybe I should have said ditch the table, not the seat. I use a 5 gallon bucket to sit on a lot of times when casually shooting off the tripod. Very comfortable and it feels like cheating sometimes because the tripod is so adaptable to any terrain.

Can't get comfortable on my ranges shooting tables...

I know what you mean. It took me several years to come to grips with the prices of good ones. But I am so glad I bit the bullet and got one. Just like getting my first can, it was a paradigm shift in my shooting.

Ditch the seat and buy a tripod!

Suppressors .30 or .22: Best First Suppressor?

Agreed. I shoot my centerfires 10x more than my rimfire. Also got an Ultra 7 as my first can.

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

Thanks man, it’s an 18” Bartlein M24 contour that SPR spun up for me. It’s heavy at 18 pounds but it feels like a 22 recoil wise. I have used a little Varget, 2230-C, Benchmark, N140, and 748 but settled on StaBALL Match for the convenience of ball and consistency of stick powder. Running both...

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

This old ESS is perfect for my newish 223 build. Was impressed with the accuracy at 600 in some crazy winds and rain this past weekend. So fun and cheap to shoot.

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

Rob I screw mine in until it makes contact, then back off about 3/4 of a turn and then lock the collar down. There’s a small space between the collar and the edge of the first port, but it’s something to keep an eye on. Nomad Ti XC

S I was just replying to the high velocity impact from above. Carry on.

    .308 Winchester

It probably was, but it used 109 grains of Reloder 25 if my memory serves me correctly. That case was huge.

I shot a coyote once at about 75 yards with a 125 going 3900ish fps once and the coyote ran off with the same damage as that doe. Bullet exploded upon impact. Figured right then that the 7.82 Warbird was best served with solids. This was about 20 years ago before I understood external ballistics.

    .308 Winchester

I don’t have any experience with them, so not sure how thin the jackets are. I would think they would do well if kept at reasonable velocities for broadside shots.

    .308 Winchester

A 125 Nosler BT at 2750 is a nice low recoiling load that will put them down.

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

I always get nervous about any of my cans loosening after long strings of fire, so I usually check by twisting on the covers. Once I started snapping them on firmly none have loosened (I use the CB brakes on everything). So I occasionally check my RecoilX brake. So far it has never loosened. And...

Awesome suppressor muzzle brake front end attachment by Recoilx

Mine has never loosened, but I might paint some index marks on it just to keep an eye out, same as I do with all my scope and action mounting screws.

I need to do something like that with my Elite. I have too many all-black rifles.

Suppressors TBAC Magnus RR-K vs Area419 Maverick vs Without Warning CHAD

I haven’t shot prone much, if at all, since getting my RRS a year ago. Just too much fun shooting off the tripod, and a little more challenging to boot. I would think tuning the recoil impulse by closing the bottom ports plus a few on the right side would be ideal, but I just run them all open...

Rifle Scopes Is there a market for a good MPVO

100 percent. It’s really my only complaint.
