    Using these two videos to compare my Ultra 9 to the Sandman. It's showing the Ultra 9 to be louder than the sandman at the shooters ear (146.06db vs 140.20) - somethings not right.

    It's nice to not have the confusion of two types of ammo in different mags - pretty sure a 300 blk in 5.56 results in a bad day. I also want rifles for two people.

    What is the generally accepted max effective range of a 8" 300 BLK and a 10.5" 5.56? I've been reading stuff all day and haven't been able to nail this down. o_O

    Data for the 300 BLK 110 Varmageddon doesn't look terribly promising at distance when comparing to the criteria I mentioned above. Max effective range somewhere around 125?

    Guess it doesn't much matter anyway - the Atlas mounts I have are 1.6" long and will cover it regardless.
