    Exactly. They are basically a service/consulting company that also provides the gear while other smiths are gear companies that (sometimes reluctantly) provide some services. It's not for me but why hate on them for finding a small and profitable market niche?

    I'm curious about this question too. Also, what do you gain from going to a builder vs getting an action like the Big Horn Origin, pre-fit barrels, a stock from a source like Manners, and just putting it all together yourself? Are you going to go from 1/2 MOA gun to a 1/4 MOA gun?

    Right. I never disagreed with this. I think it would actually be more interesting to take two barrels with similar weight and compare the temperature, as that's closer to the advantage that the customer is actually paying for.
