    Portable Cleaning Rod Suggestions Needed

The Tipton's are awesome, just not easily portable.

    Portable Cleaning Rod Suggestions Needed

It’s a Tipton one piece about 40” long. Unfortunately that doesn’t make for easy carrying.

    Portable Cleaning Rod Suggestions Needed

In my reloading room, I keep a Tipton, but I’d like to have a more mobile option, for those occasional cases when one needs to clear an obstruction from the barrel. Any recommendations on a cleaning rod that will match the following criteria: (1) fit into a backpack ( I use an Eberlestock...

Rifle Scopes I hesitate to ask but here goes

I haven't used the 12x but am really, really impressed with the 10x, and that's a good, solid magnification range, good out to 1000 for sure

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

I almost picked us up a few months back and decided for a custom one instead. Would love to hear your range report.

Rifle Scopes I hesitate to ask but here goes

I have had great luck with SWFA SS 10x42, which one can find for < $300. It's quite touch and the turrets seem to be quite consistent and accurate. https://www.swfa.com/swfa-ss-10x42-tactical-30mm-riflescope-3.html

Tripod Head for Shooting Purposes? Are joysticks the best options?

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm currently locked into the Manfrotto universe, as that is what my photography team uses (we keep it all the same for interchangeability). With that said, I'll gladly look into these other options as they seem to be pretty popular.

Tripod Head for Shooting Purposes? Are joysticks the best options?

Sorry, forgot to mention budget! I'd like to stay @ or < $200.

Tripod Head for Shooting Purposes? Are joysticks the best options?

I need to pick up a head for the tripod I use for hunting/shooting. I typically mount a PIG Saddle on a variety of Manfrotto Tripods to hold both binos for extended glassing and to shoot distances < 500 yards. The head must allow me to make adjustments to rifle quickly. My first thought is to...

A good way to compare stocks and chassis?

That is an interesting idea--capital intensive for sure--but probably appreciated by some. There is an analogous business in lens/camera rentals. The companies literally own $10 + lenses and they rent them out for some $60-100 per day. Of course, you have to put down a significant deposit. Even...

A good way to compare stocks and chassis?

Since you're a coyote guy too, also consider how you support the rifle in a stand (tripid, shooting sticks, bipod) as the answer to this question may influence whether you want a flat or rounded hand guard. Just a thought. Good luck.

A good way to compare stocks and chassis?

This is a really good question. Here are a few thoughts: - visit local matches if you can, and if you don't have a rifle volunteer to help run the range and check out equipment as the day passes. - chassis are so mainstream now, that you can find some of them in stores like Cabelas on the Ruger...

Rifle Scopes Scope caps for Steiner P4xi?

I'm looking at getting some new caps for my Steiner P4Xi, 4-16x56. I have used Butler Creek for a long time but don't like them much, because they are too flimsy and won't fold down completely. I am aware of Tenebraex's covers, but they don't seem to carry one for the P4Xi (at least according to...

Daniel Defense Delta 5 Bolt Gun

Thanks for posting. Lots of really interesting features here for the price point, esp the barrel. The inclusion of 7mm-08 is interesting, and I guess a nod to the hunting crowd where it's a reasonably popular round.

    Tripods??? Where to start???

I'm a professional photographer and so we have a range of tripods at our disposal. I've still had great luck with Manfrotos in the context of hunting and PRS style matches. I like using the PIG Saddle as a "one and done" clamp for hunting, because I can (1) clamp my binoculars into the saddle...
