    Re: Quick skim bedding question... This may be a dumb question, but it would by no means be my first.... Isn't the "play" like that a result of the free-floating barrel, and isn't that what you want? When you put the bedding compound and action screws in, the action will be all the way down...

    AR15 Bolt Sticking open....

    Re: AR15 Bolt Sticking open.... My only thing is the weight/leverage from the BAD lever is pulling down, which is the release for the bolt catch, not to engage it. I could still see the recoil impulse possibly making the lever jump just enough.

    Re: AR15 Bolt Sticking open.... It's just an externally mounted lever for the bolt catch... there shouldn't be any additional drag created affecting the cycling. (not my pic)

    Re: AR15 Bolt Sticking open.... If it's actually catching on the bolt catch, it's probably the BAD lever. I assume you tried another mag... If it's just hanging up, it could be something else... Your gas tube alignment, carrier key, buffer issue, etc. I would bet money that it's hanging on...
