Well... I'll get a better pic once it's all setup. Wearing a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44, Leupold Rings, ATRS 25 MOA rail, Terje Spacers and the old style bipod. One the way is a NEAR Alphamount, NEAR 40 MOA rail and S&B PM2 5-25x56 H58.
That's an eye opener. At the lower zooms I have to agree that the image was fantastic. I decided to go with Zeiss as the store only had that one PST unit and it didn't work out for me.
I was comparing the PST to a Zeiss Conquest HD5 5-25x50. Both were set at max zoom. I was looking at a few things at varying distances.
At about 50m away, I could not make out the smaller lettering on a license plate with the PST. I'm in Canada, but the letters would be equivalent to the part...
I had a chance to look through the 6-25x50 the other day. I found that the glass was great until around 15-16x and higher. At the higher mags, the glass wasn't very clear.
Is this normal or was something wrong with the scope?
Thanks. I saw that but unless I'm mistaken, it looks like the target is designed for use at 100 yards and not 100 meters. This means that the points of the diamonds are not in whole number centimeter increments.
Not sure what section this should be in, but I thought it would be most appropriate here.
Most grid style sight in targets I see are based on 1" squares. This works great for a scope with MOA based turrets.
I'm wondering if there is anything out there that is mil based? I know I can simply...
Great app. My wish list is:
1. Ability to calculate holds based on the mil dot. ie. based on the caliber and ammo, what distance does each dot correspond to?
2. Mil-dot ranging to be able to specify the target size in metric (not sure if it can do this, but I can't seem to find it)
I am looking for a new scope for my Savage 93R17 TRR-SR in 17 HMR. My budget is around $1000-1200.
I previously had a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 and was happy with the glass, but I wanted more magnification.
I use the rifle primarily for target shooting from 50m-200m. However, I would also like...
