    Primer Seating Tool

How important is it to uniform primer pockets, either by cutting or swaging? What about uniforming flash holes?

    Primer pockets and seating... WTH!?!?

I will preface this by saying I am not a novice reloader. I have tens of thousands of rounds handloaded with 9mm, .38 Special, .44 Mag, .45 ACP, .223 Rem, and 7.62x39. I am new to precision reloading, however. 6.5 Creedmoor Hornady brass is making me lose my mind. This is 1x brass from...

    Primer Seating Tool

What a timely thread. I used a hand primer last night for the first time ever, after priming on the press for the past 10 years. What a nightmare. I have bad arthritis in my hands and arms and underestimated the amount of force required to seat LRP in Hornady 6.5CM brass. I did 50 of them...

Are my expectations out of line?

Anyone remember the Tooth & Nail debacle at Arfcom? Debacle Link Executive Summary: T&N milled some slides and fucked them up. They doubled down on stupid and now Tooth & Nail is a joke on Arf. Contrast that to what's happened here. This shop owned up to their mistake and appears to have...

***SPF*** Tavor X95 Parts EXTRAVAGANZA!!11! Manticore, IWI, Geissele, MI Midwest

***SOLD PENDING FUNDS TO REDBULLITT*** I'm selling my X95 and am parting out all the accessories I added to it. I had less than 2,500 rounds through the rifle, so most of these parts have less use than that. Some are new. LOT A, $140: -IWI Black Pistol Grip w/ traditional trigger guard...

Am I the only person who doesn't like Hornady One Shot?

The only cases I've ever stuck were when I was using One Shot. I switched to lanolin with a smear of Imperial wax every half-dozen cases or so.

    Primer tube fillers

The only one I have experience with is the Hornady 1911 primer filler. It's a little temperamental and seems to prefer some brands of primers over others. When it works, it works well. When it doesn't... meh.

    Critique my 6.5 CM handloading process-UPDATE 9/30

That's a possibility. I had to fuss with the LNLAP priming system to get it to work with 9mm and it never did sit them as deep as the Lee Turret did. Priming problems aren't uncommon on the LNLAP. But the fewer times I take the brass off the shellplate, the more time I save.

    RCBS’s new “Chargemaster”

I just paid $299 for a Chargemaster 1500 from Midsouth. I wonder if they're starting to liquidate in anticipation of the latest and greatest.

    Critique my 6.5 CM handloading process-UPDATE 9/30

I'll add a box to the next order. LOL, point taken. I suppose it makes sense not to bother at this level. Pointless how? It seems to get the carbon and general filth off the cases. Isn't that the point of cleaning? I agree that ultrasonic cleaning won't get them shiny like corn cob...

    Critique my 6.5 CM handloading process-UPDATE 9/30

I could have naked virgins caressing my Flintstone toes and I'd still hate reloading. Too tedious. And the experimenting and "what if" kills me mentally. What if I cut back by a tenth of a grain and seat out an extra 5 thou? What if switch to a different primer and different brass!?!? ZOMG...

    Critique my 6.5 CM handloading process-UPDATE 9/30

After getting out of reloading and swearing to never handload for 6.5 CM, here I am. Some background... Rifle: Tikka T3x CTR in 6.5 CM, 1:8" twist, mag fed with OEM mags, Silencerco flash hider, Silencerco Omega 300, OEM stock w/ a Sinclair benchrest adapter on it. The rifle shoots great at...

KRG Bravo for CTR that can take TRG/CTR mags?

Neat idea. I'm not an engineer, but I wonder if that could be accomplished with a universal inlet on the bottom of the stock, and then different adapters are used to accommodate AICS, CTR, and TRG-300WM mags. Only one stock is manufactured. Just replace the bottom adapter to fit the mag...

    6.5 Hornady American Gunner

Yes. My Ruger Predator is 16.75". It performs similarly to my 20" Tikka CTR. Average 5 shot is around an inch at 100 yards. I've pondered if sorting by cartridge weight would make a noticeable difference. I'd say my excuse is that I'm "too busy" to do it, but really, I'm just lazy. :p

Modern ones are, at least the OEM ones.

    6.5 Hornady American Gunner

No doubt, your mileage may vary. I'm not a 900 yard shooter and my game isn't PRS-style matches. It's great you're having good luck with it. :)

    6.5 Hornady American Gunner

That depends on what your expectations are. It's good ammo, and 10 or 20 years ago, it would have been great ammo. If you're shooting at longer distances and want/need very high BC bullets and very low SD/ES to meet your accuracy needs, Am Gunner may not be the best choice. If you're content...

    6.5 Hornady American Gunner

Good question that I don't have an answer to. Those were taken on different days and probably with different lots of ammo as well. The 2506 is a 10-shot average, SD 25.4, ES 73, 55*F, 90% humidity, 30.17" Hg. The 2583 is also a 10-shot average, SD 12.9, ES 44, 86*, 49% humidity...
