    6.5 Hornady American Gunner

    I get similar accuracy results at 100 yards with my CTR and Ruger Predator. Chrono results: CTR w/ Omega: 2506 fps CTR w/o Omega: 2583 fps 1x brass sells for 30-35 cents per case, making the American Gunner pretty cheap plinking ammo.

    I had a Tango4 4-16x and wasn't impressed. A used Tango6 3-18x replaced it for similar $$$. Glass on the 6 was much better, so were the turrets.

    Tikka T3 Thread

    Burris Xtreme 25 MOA 1-pc steel base. Machining appears to be nice, finish was very even too. "Burris" is etched into the very rear of the base. It uses four screws to attach to the receiver and it has a small, large lug protruding from the bottom to fit into a recess in the receiver.

    Form 1099-K is issued if total transactions are more than $20,000 and the person has more than 200 transactions. That's a lot of wheeling and dealing for a hobbyist, but the seller can always ask for USPS money orders if they are concerned.

    Under a grand, I'd look at a SS 3-9x or 3-15x, or a Weaver Tactical 3-15x. Maybe see if you can find a used Sig Tango6 3-18x. Over a grand? Maybe a Vortex AMG due to the lower weight. I have my kids shooting a Ruger 10/22 and Ruger American Rimfire, both with Leupold VX-2 2-7x rimfire...

    I really like my 20" CTR but it feels like an elephant compared to my Ruger Predator that I had cut to 16.75". Both guns currently have the same scope, a heavy 3-18x Tango 6. For an inexpensive truck gun, a Predator with a SS 3-9x would be a good combo. Maybe a Ruger American Ranch in 5.56...

    CTR shooters with the OEM stock and 34mm scopes... what brand and height of rings are you using? I'm going to mount a 34mm scope w/ 56mm objective. I'd like to use Burris XTR Signatures which come in 1" and 1.5" heights which seem like they might be too low and too high, respectively.

    Anyone else confused by Leupold's offerings? VX-1, 2, 3, 6, R, Freedom. Mk4, 5, 6, 8, AR. Designing, manufacturing, stocking, repairing, and marketing so many brands and models is expensive.
