Rifle Scopes competitors for the Razor 3x18?

Sig Tango6 3-18x44, SKU SOT63014 Be careful, as Sig makes the 3-18 in MOA and MRAD with standard milling and tree ("DEV-L") reticles.

Rifle Scopes How do you set your zero stop?

How do you set your zero stop? I.e., do you allow a few extra clicks below zero? Why or why not?

Rifle Scopes Pull to unlock, Push to lock

I really like how the turrets operate on my two Sig Tango6 scopes. Pull to unlock, push to lock, and they remain unlocked while pulled out. There's no spring tension to overcome and once they're unlocked, they stay that way until pushed down. What other scopes in the $700-$2,000 price range...

    Tikka Bolt Handle

I have the Anarchy dragon scale on my CTR and my Ruger Predator. It's aggressive enough without chewing up your hands. Plenty of leverage.

Looking for a source for Sako TRG 22 6.5 Creedmoor Magazines

But wouldn't that reduce the cost of the TRG mags too? They probably have a few stamping dies and welding jigs set up to crank these out. If the mags are the same except for the base, the fixed costs of the dies and jigs would be amortized over a greater number of mags, reducing the final cost...

Looking for a source for Sako TRG 22 6.5 Creedmoor Magazines

Correct. But I was referencing the body, not the base. Since the bodies are the same and the CTR body works with .308 and 6.5CM in the CTR, .308 and 6.5CM should feed fine out of the TRG mag in a TRG. The bigger mystery is why CTR mags are a third of the price of the TRG22 mags.

    New production class rifle

And then there's the issue of bone-stock CZ Shadows playing against stock Glocks and M&Ps. Because rules! OTOH, give me the raciest race gun that ever raced and I'll still place in the bottom 25th percentile. USPSA or PRS. It's the indian, not the arrow.

Looking for a source for Sako TRG 22 6.5 Creedmoor Magazines

Isn't the Tikka CTR mag body the same as the TRG-22 mag body? In the CTR, the .308 Win mags work with 6.5 CM.

    New production class rifle

Agreed. $150 for a hotel, $75 for meals, $300-$500 for match fees, $200-$400 for transportation. Show up and shoot ammo that might run $1-$3 per shot. Shoot a half dozen large matches a year, practice every week, and the gun and scope become the cheap part. Do you need a "production...

    New production class rifle

Why couldn't a manufacturer/retailer (like Defiance/BadRock seems to be), put an MSRP of $1999 on a rifle and sell it for the same amount. Sell it wholesale for $1,500 and put a MAP of $1899 on it so Eurooptic, Cabelas, and Buds can sell it too. Then you'll have a gun that sells for 2x-3x the...

    New production class rifle

Racing gets around this (somewhat) with spec series. For example, https://www.nasaproracing.com/proracing/sm.html Other racing series exist for "production" vehicles, but some of the manufacturers get around that by building the minimum number of vehicles to qualify as a production vehicle...

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR II 2-10x42 & QD Mount?

Do you need a QD mount? If you can live with a mount that requires tools to remove, get a Geissele Super Precision. Otherwise, get the Larue. They're solid mounts.

    Tard proof 6.5 140g load...

With the factory American Gunner available for ~70 cents per round and 1x fired Hornady brass selling for ~35 cents per round, I've found it's just not worth it to hand load for plinking ammo, especially when American Gunner performs around 1 MOA. Looking at today's prices on Midsouth and...

    Tikka T3 Thread

Hornady American Gunner 140gr BTHP shoots 1 MOA or better in my 6.5CM CTR and 6.5CM Ruger Predator. AmmoSeek.com shows a few vendors where you can get it for under 70 cents per round. 1x fired brass is selling for 30-35 cents per round. Make for some pretty cheap shooting.
