PRS Talk Welcome to the Camps.... Don't buy a PRS membership

For what it's worth, Shannon is headed in the right direction, but I dont think it was implemented (maybe just communicated) properly. In order to foster growth in the sport, the governing body needs to have cash flow, in and out. Running on borrowed time is not scalable. However, if a shooter...

PRS Talk The necessity of FFP optics in PRS

SFP will work fine as long as you "calibrate" your mag ring and remember to reference it, unless you plan to dial for distance and wind on every target (not recommended, but doable). By calibrate, you need setup a target at a known distance with a known width/height so you can dial your scope's...

PRS Talk Innovation killing the spirit?

Instead of having gear restrictions, what are your thoughts on limiting stage prep, maybe only allowing you to load your mag and write down your dope? By this, I mean that shooters would have to start with their gear packed the way they would carry it. Example: Tripods would start completely...

    Tab Gear PRS Sling opinions

The PRS sling is great, highly recommend it. As for the buckles - I chose cobra, and I use the QD attachment. If I'm not using the sling for supported shooting or carrying, I simply pop the sling off so the buckles wont be flopping around.

    Shout out to TAB gear!

+1 for TAB Gear! I had ordered a sling from another company for a class that was out of state, well, after some "complications", 2 days before the class I found out I wouldn't have the sling for another month. I called TAB Gear and Tony went above and beyond to get me a sling for my class. On...

    Desert Tech TRASOL Official Thread

I'm running TRASOL on 3 different android devices (Motorola Turbo, Samsung Note8, and Google Nexus), and the app works great. I'm still able to save profiles and settings on all devices, then sync to the other. It's still as accurate as can be without having to true anything. I don't use the...

    Comps in the SC area?

I've only been a few times, and it's never been super busy. One Saturday, I had the range all to myself, it was great. Let me know if you decide to go one of these weekends, I'm always up for a range trip.

    Comps in the SC area?

I've been to Maltese a few times. It's a solid simple range, but be sure to get there early. The mirage can get really bad I the middle of the day. Let me k now if you guys want to really together and see if we can coordinate some sort of basic competition there. And I'm always down to go shoot

Help with QD rifle scope mount

Bobro mounts are great. I've been using one to move my scope across a few rifles and I've never lost my zero.

What was your biggest “aha!” Moment as a beginner?

Here are a couple things I learned: 1) The importance of a good read bag: I shot with a bag that was just a little smaller than I needed, and switching to a better bag made a huge difference. 2) Zero your scope after every stage: I know zero stops help, but it sucks to get to a stage and not...
