    After doing more research on the KMR, I have decided to go with it. After the head space issue was cleared up I now believe I can do this. I will have to get a few tools first but I am going to go with a 15 inch KMR.

    Thanks for the replies. Impact Guns has these available now for 872.00. It seems like a good deal. It only has a 1 year warranty though. It is overall one of the best deals I have found for him. I don't know much about colt but would this rifle be of the same quality of the LE6920?

    Open carry is fine in Alabama but my pack has a belt and would make things uncomfortable. I am going to try my Kahr PM9 in a Desantis superfly in my front pocket. I will see how it feels after carrying it all day plus all my other stuff.

    I went yesterday and looked at both. After trying the trigger on both I bought the S&W 642. I like it a lot. I have dry fired so much today that my finger turned purple but the trigger has smoothed out nicely now at about 12 pounds. I might try that apex kit though.

    A friend of mine has the LCR. I liked it a lot but the short stroking was a problem for me. I think I could get over it if I had some extended practice with the pistol though. I like that the LCR has front sight options.
