    I also think the slide stop lever might be harder to mash down on the 1911 than some of the other pistols out there. The Kahr pistols seem to be this way because I don't think I have ever had this issue on one of them and this is a much smaller pistol than the 1911.

    Thanks for the replies. The sear spring has not been touched. All I have done is a field strip. I just got back from shooting and it still functions fine. I experienced no failures. Would you just not power stroke on an empty chamber anymore or should I send it off for a gunsmith to look at?
