Rifle Scopes Kahles k525i skmr3.....not the best at anything, but really good at everything (reticle pics added)

Will, do you find yourself visually checking the windage setting more often if the turret is on the same side as your face? I'm sure that would also offset some of the need for a locking windage. I think I found a deal on a 525 I can't pass up so I guess I will join the club.

Rifle Scopes Kahles k525i skmr3.....not the best at anything, but really good at everything (reticle pics added)

I would love to see a tree with .2 hashes on the vertical and .2 windage hold dots on the tree. I have a certificate for a bit off of a 525i. That is my only hang up with the scope right now along with the lack of locking windage turret. Question for everyone that has a Kahles in general with...

    Nucleus Orders

I am running ARC mags and haven't had an issue related to the action, just dirty ARC mag issues. The MDT no binder plate mags have been flawless for me also in my limited testing so far.

    Nucleus Orders

I have been meaning to try an accurate mag, but haven't yet. I'll have to get one rounded up soon. I have tried two different ARC mags and the magpul aics that came with the chassis.

Not the ingenuity rail, but the sawtooth rail made for the 15" seekins handguard should be pretty similar. That is what I am running in my previous post. I will try to get some better pictures of it sometime.

I can not bend the feed lips or file them down enough for this problem. I have tried bending them out. It would take probably close to 1/8th inch to come off the feed lips to get it low enough. The bottom two lugs on the Nucleus bolt hang out just a little too far for how this chassis positions...

    Nucleus Orders

The world could use more rifle pictures and less bitching about order numbers. I've had my action now for a couple months. I have about 300 rounds threw mine so far. Definitely a huge upgrade over my RPR. I have shot a couple club matches with it and took 4th in both of those, only being off...

While I do not have my grip adjusted all the way forward, it is pretty close. I find the thumb shelf very natural for my thumb. There is no strain at all to rest the thumb there. In other words, I do not have to bring my thumb back or reach back at all to rest my thumb on the shelf. I get my...

I think the bigger problem will be upward pressure on the mags. You can file down the mag catch, but there is not an upward stop or limit for the mags. Upward pressure on the mags, say on a barricade or bag or whatever, will stop up the action. It does it on the Havak which has a full diameter...

Sounds like what I found with the Sawtooth rail. Thanks for the info.

    Magpul pro 700??

Here is a thread on the chassis already. In a recent post I went over what I like and what I would change. I address my thoughts on the rail and what direction I went for a rail. Might ask in that thread about the mags as well...

    Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares ETR

I tried to go the same route and the objective adapter for the cronus doesn't thread into the objective on the Ares. I ended up getting a defender for the objective for now and it fits extremely well. Let us know if you find which adapter works for the Ares ETR.

I think earlier in the thread it was mentioned, the objective measures the same as the Cronus. Correct me if I am wrong. Then would the Cronus caps from Aadland work? I was too chicken shit to try.

@SuperSneakySniper , my thoughts also. With my nucleus, upward pressure on the mag definitely stops the bolt with both an ARC mag and magpul. Unfortunately, it sits much too high to file the lips down on the mag to clear the three lugs. A person in the Seekins Havak thread reported their bolt...

The 56 Objective Defender fits well. It does not slide off when opening the front cap and I have not electrical taped it on. Pretty snug fit. Cannot comment on the rear.

Thanks for the comparison. Sounds like I need to start eating my wheaties then!

I think the reticle will grow on you. I certainly wasn't a huge fan of the dot size at first. Now after a couple hundred .22lr rounds, 300 rounds in matches, and a few on a hunting rifle, my finds that dot very quickly. I had a BTR and felt I was searching around the cross to get a consistent...

I first thought the dot was too small. I couldn't find it at lower magnification. However, the more I have used it, especially for competition, I am quickly finding I pick up the dot easily and use it for a finer aiming point. My eye focuses faster now to that point. I am really starting to like...

I am trying one of the Bradley adjustable cheek rests on mine. I have the Havak with the Mcmillan Game Warden stock.
