Best rear bag for tactical/long range shooting

I tried several different bags including the Red Tac and GAP bags, but ended up liking TAB Gear's best. I think it really comes down to personal preference though.

    College Budget Rifle

+1 I go to school, work a lot, and shoot a .223 sps tactical reamed to .223 AI. As far as what to add, I would look at a great trigger before anything else.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns G35 Gen 4

After several months on order, my gen 4 Glock 35 finally showed up at my dealer. After a few weeks of it sitting around the house, I finally found the time and ammunition to go shooting. I chose a G35 because .40 ammunition has been relatively easier to find compared to 9mm here. Also, while I...

good sign that the semi-auto market is getting back to normal

There are a good number of AR's and other semis in stock around here, but very little ammo or components to feed them with.

Sidearms & Scatterguns stupid 1911s...i don't know why everyone loves 'em

I can't comment on the AAC pistol, but I can speak in favor of the 9mm 1911. I picked this STI a few months ago and it has been nothing but awesome. I just crossed the...

Sidearms & Scatterguns It is nice to shoot a 9mm 1911 again.

I would recommend Tripp over Wilson for 9mm magazines. They ran better in my Sti

    69gr. matchkings @ imr 8208?

8208 has worked very well for me in my 223 AI with the 69 smk. It has been very stable and accurate across a wide range of temperatures.

Gunsmithing A sweet little, expensive package from Switzerland arrived today............

What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing a chamber or die that way compared to a more conventional reamer?

Hunting & Fishing Shooting and eating Bear

It is very good canned. All of the nasty fat rises to the top of the jar and can be removed effortlessly when you open it. Then you are left with delicious lean meat.

This is why I would NOT buy ammo online from the auctions.

We have a local shop that does here too. All I can do is shake my head and take my business elsewhere.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911 mag recommendation

Tripp Research magazines have worked best for me.

    .233 build question.

I have had trouble with the 80 Amax and Bergers singled loaded out of a 20" 1/8 AR during the winter in Fairbanks. When this happened my first thought was that the barrel was a slower twist than advertised, but I checked with a cleaning rod and it was dead on. For this reason I would never get...

    Colt is moving to Texas

I think it's great to see this precedent being sent.

Sidearms & Scatterguns STI Spartan 1911

I have been really, really enjoying my STI 9mm 1911. It's well fitted, nicely finished, smooth shooting, and much more accurate than I am. It doesn't love hollow points, but it hasn't gone wrong with ball.

    Rifle Scopes S&B via SportOptics

Recently I have been working to consolidate my gear into fewer and better items. It finally came time to do the optic and so I started weighing my options. I quickly settled on S&B because of its decent reputation for tracking/reliability and glass quality. Being both low speed and high drag, as...

    6mm choice

.243 for me Simple, easy, and boring. I would love to try and put together a 6br repeater at some point though.
