    Gunsmithing Muzzle treading question.

    Does (or should) the barrel of a factory Remington 700 need to be removed from the action for muzzle threading? I'm considering having a 5R chopped to 20" and threaded for an AAC break, with the thought of getting a can in the near future. Thanks!

    Re: 155 or 175 ? Previously I've used the 175smk as I believe they buck the wind better at 1,000 than any 155. With that said, just today I picked-up 3,000 185gr Berger BTs. The Mks will only be used on the short line from now on.

    6XC by CCR (range report)

    Re: New 6XC by CCR GAP built me my 1st 6xc this year, and it hammers! So far I've only experimented with 115 DTACs and RL17, and have been very happy with the results (2945fps out of a 25" Bartlein 1:7.7). I picked-up a couple pounds of 4350 to try, but haven't gotten around to it yet...

    6xc & 8208xbr load data?

    Guess my search-fu is weak. Anyone have first hand experience with the 6xc & 8208xbr that they are willing to share? I currently have 115 DTACs, but plan to try the 105 a-max (if they ever make it back). Thanks
