    Volquartsen Summit

I bought a Summit receiver and assembled a compact critter dispatching SBR with it using a Kidd 6" barrel and can. It is perfect for my intended purpose, accurate enough to 50 yards and quiet.

    HVAC advice

Overpriced? Ha! Take your prices from 5 years ago and add at least 50% to it. Now you are in the current ballpark. I think that is an extremely fair price for a 2 ton AC, v-coil and 2-ton Performance furnace. That is, only if she needs a 96%, 2-stage unit. Get a price on a 59SC2D0601714...

18 inch gas gun 308 vs 6.5 creedmoor

Agree with the 16" recommendation. You only have 1 to 1.1 MIL drop to 300 with a 100 yard zero. Easy hits at that distance. Besides, you will want the shortest barrel possible if you plan to add a can for hunting too.

    Compact critter SBR

That could be an option, but I can't stand arm braces. They look and feel crappy to me. I prefer to have the barrel length I want in a stock and I am willing to pay the price for that.

    Compact critter SBR

I have not had a chance to get chrono data yet, just got everything together a couple weeks ago. I have a different rifle for anything over 50 yards that does great to 200+. This was more of a proof of concept to eliminate small game at very short range. Primarily, getting through the house...

    Compact critter SBR

I had a need to dispatch trash bandits without the effort of maneuvering a .22 in a chassis and heavy 18" barrel + 6" can into position. I kicked around the idea of what would make this specific tool useful. It needs to be compact, quiet and have relatively fast follow up. I started piecing...

    22 Volquartson

I put a SBR together with a VQ Summit, 6” Kidd barrel, Kidd 2-stage trigger, Boyd’s Tacticool stock, 1-4x24 PST & Spectre II. It’s a great little squirrel/raccoon dispatcher. Mine has been accurate enough for my uses with CCI SV.

Should I look at anything else before buying a Volquartsen ?

I have owned a VQ Scorpion 4.5" for over 4 years now and it is an awesome pistol. I wanted a reliable .22 LR I could put my can on and easily mount any red dot optic. I picked the Scorpion since I wanted an aluminum 1911 grip angle and you can't get that combo with the MK4, even though the MK4...

Ha!! No offense taken. My fingers are double-jointed and my thumb does a full 180 degree swing. It has saved me from breaking a finger or two over the years!

Great guns! My TSO in 9mm with LOK palm swell Bogies, optic mount & RM09. It shoots very flat and just wants to go fast.

That was an older 300 lumen TLR. The battery plate became unglued from the inner piece that holds it together so I swapped it for an X300 and am very happy with it. Thankfully, Streamlight’s customer service was excellent and shipped me a new battery plate at no charge.

I picked this Guy up back in 2008 when the German police trade-ins got to market. I wanted to make it a little special so I sent it to Robar for their electroless nickel finish. I think the Nill grips really complete the look. It shoots just as good as it looks.
