    Recently got my Bighorn barreled action back from Beanland, had Jon re-barrel it again in another 6x47, love the 6x47! Have had AICS stocks for quite some time, wanted a lighter stock, went with a XLR. Rifle as pictured weighs 13.7 lbs. It has a nice balance to it, balance point is just in front...

    This is one I make no claims I can consistently recreate. No doubt I felt the pressure on the 5th shot! Shot this when working up a load. Beanland chambered 6x47, Bighorn action, Bartlein barrel, shot prone/bipod/squeeze bag, 100yds. That barrel is shot out. It's back at Beanland's right now...

    Gunsmithing 22lr chambering.

    Hey Chris, that might have been my CMP 40x with a PT&G bolt that I told you didn't shoot . Tried different ammo cleaning.... Had the action trued and re-barreled by 22lr gunsmith Brian Voelker, Rock Creek barrel. Not sure what reamer he used, trusted his long experience as a 22lr gunsmith...

    How are the Bighorn actions holding up?

    7000+ rounds on this action, shot it in some very dusty/dirty matches. At Beanlands right now for another re-barrel. Beanland/Bighorn can't go wrong there!

    Gearing up for a new build, 6.5 x 47

    Does the TAC30 have the AW cut? If so, you can run AW mags. My first custom rifle I used a contour similar to a M24, regretted going that heavy. Since, I've used medium and heavy palma contours. With that stock, a 22" Heavy Palma would be my choice.

    Talked to RJ about shooting a string or berm at CRC kneeling, sitting, off of sticks...... When RJ first started the CRC match, we would have a side match shooting off of sticks, kneeling....maybe we can get him to start that again?
