I dont know of any smith that would suggest it, get it lapped if you're scared of some chatter marks. reason being is if you ever bore scope a factory barrel you can SEE that it is not a true...- Lockback

I have punished more then a couple of these stocks and the outside finish has stood up to it but i'm not running my stock over with jeeps like on the mcmillan video either.
