    Gunsmithing Bushing a firing pin......

Why not just machine a larger diameter firing pin to make the fit tolerances tighter as to not allow primer flow? I know I must be missing something obvious. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Gunsmithing McGowan barrels any good?

This McGowen barreled R700 will do this as consistently as the shooter can keep it together. It has shot several 5 shot one hole groups and sometimes it puts 5 in the .4s but it is a good shooting rifle for the money I have in it. It's a consistently accurate sub 1/2 MOA rifle to 1000 yds...

    Gunsmithing 6x45 ( 6mm-223 Rem) free bore?

For those with experience chambering the 6x45 in bolt rifles, what is the recommended free bore for med heavy projectiles such as the 95 TMK and 95 SMK? Maybe the 87 V-Max too. PTG stocks reamers for this chambering with .045 free bore but that seems short. I've read elsewhere that .065 is...

7mm-08 powder choice with 162 eldm

44.0 gr IMR 4451 with 162ELD-M in my R700 7mm-08 is 0.2-0.4" 5 shot groups at 100 yds so consistent it gets boring. The bullet kicks ass in the wind too. I love it. Using CCI 200 primers and Norma brass by the way. 24" 9 twist bbl. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Considering a new build

95 Sierra TMK has a BC of 0.500. At around 2500-2600 fps, it would be a nice bullet for this chambering too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
