Heads up on Fake M24 Receivers

I posted on the M24 thread in the bolt action section but wanted to post a warning here too. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/army-m24-build-thread.6252616/page-41#post-11901567 These appear to be the same PTG fakes that we discussed last year. Unfortunately they are being sold a...

Accessories WTS: USGI M1907 Slings - 1970's - Sold Pending Funds

WTS: three USGI M1907 leather slings. These have been used and the MRT and date markings are worn off. Based on the hardware, flat copper colored rivets and stitching patterns they are 1970's USGI slings. They are identical to other slings I have that are marked “MRT FEB. 1973” and “MRT APR...

    MST-100 Scope Covers?

Why weren't flip-up scope covers used on the MST-100's? I've never seen them in field pictures of M40A1s or M40A3s. You see them on the Schmidt and Benders and the Army had them on all the M24 Ultras. Even the Ar Tels and ARTIIs had them, so why not on the MST-100's? Thanks, Dave

Rifle Scopes USMC Unertl MST Scope and GG&G Rings questions

I see that a lot of the USMC Unertl scopes the CMP has been selling come with the GG&G rings (4 screw). Most of them seem to be on the .50 cal marked scopes. I've also seen mention of GG&G rings on the early M40A3's. Were the GG&G rings the same or did they make different rings for the .30 cal...

    Opinions on this M40?

I would be interested in hearing opinions on this M40 serial number 214631. http://www.gunbroker.com/item/640033673 It appears to be the same rifle as sold on Rock Island Auctions about a year ago. https://www.rockislandauction.com/de...inc-700#detail I found a post on another forum that...

    M40A3 Questions

I'm looking for information on the accessories/equipment used by the USMC on the M40A3. It may be posted here somewhere but I haven't found it. QD sling swivels - What QD sling swivels were used? Were they supplied by McMillan with the stocks or procured separately? What width was used? Slings...
