    A cross over rifle seemed like a good idea

    Until I built one and used it extensively. Not sure why the thought of “if I only had only one rifle” came into my head. Who has only one rifle? It’s so optic dependent anyway. So now it’s a full on lightweight precision rifle. Compromising sucks.

    Is there anything more rewarding than seeing new shooters discover the fun of accurate and easy shooting rifles? Got to go shooting with my niece and nephew over the holidays and they had a ball shooting milk jugs with my 22 and 223. Pretty sure they are hooked.

    I’m trying to match as closely as possible the trajectory of my heavy 6.5x47 to a soon-to-be built compact 6.5 PRC (for a hunting rifle). What is the minimum barrel length for the PRC that will get a 140 class bullet to around 2750? I’d like to match the the two, if possible, for simplicity.

    Ultra 5 big bore in the works?

    With the Marlin 45-70’s rolling off the line again, wondering if TBAC will release a compact can for it. A 45 caliber Ultra 5 would be perfect. Thankfully Ruger is threading the stainless versions now. Hated the all black “tacticool” versions from the past.

    Is the difference in sound reduction between standard and compact silencers more pronounced with short barrels? Specifically I’m wondering if an Ultra 9 would be substantially quieter than an Ultra 7 in a 16” 308 bolt gun.
