    How important is metplat trimming / bullet tipping

    Range Report 6.5 x 47 - 4500 fps possible?

    are all 140 grain bullets equal? stupid quest?

    I was wondering lets say I have load data for 140 grain SMKs out of the Sierra manual. Can I use the same load data for 140 grain Lapua bullets? Lapua loading data only gives data for Lapua powders but I have Reloader and others that I would like to use. Thanks in advance!! Paul.

    338 lapua - 1:12 twist

    What are your favorite bullets for a TRG-42 338 Lapua with a 1:12 twist. I was looking at the sierra matchking 250 grain which when I put the stats into Millers formula I get an SG = 1.46 so it seems that these would work. Thanks, Paul.

    Help with bullets for a 22-250 with 1:14 twist

    I have read Bryan Litz's book and have been calculating SGs and it seems that all the nosler and sierra bullets I have calculated SGs well below 1. Does anyone know a good bullet to use with a barrel with a 1:14 twist? I have a Remy 700VTR in 22-250. Thanks in advance. Paul.

    annealing brass - is it necessary

    I am shooting 338 lapua and 22-250 - how important is it to anneal the brass? How often do you anneal? Do you get it to a dull cherry red or a bright red? Thanks!!

    weighing brass - worth it or not?

    I have a new batch of Lapua .338 brass - I measured about 10 and found that they were between 330 and 333 grains. Does it make sense to sort the cases? How much accuracy will it add? Thanks!
