    Gunsmithing .22-250 and .243 barrel shortening ?

    I have a Savage 12fv .22-250 with a 26" barrel and would like to have the barrel cut down to 20". I am looking at buying a Savage .243 and would probably have it also cut down to the 20". Do you think I would see any problems with accuracy or ...? Thanks.

    Rifle Scopes Mueller APT on a .308?

    Anyone using this NEW MUELLER APT (ALL PURPOSE TACTICAL) SCOPE. 4.5X14 40MM on your .308? I know it isn't a top of the line but I'm not going to be using this rifle for life/death situations and thought that this might be good. Price is $145 shipped and it has a 30mm tube.

    Savage 10fp LE1 opinions?

    Any thoughts or negatives on this Savage model 10fp LE1, .308 with a 20" barrel.  Found a slightly used one and just curious if there is any opinions out there.

    barrel cutting ?

    I have a Savage 22-250 with a blued 26" barrel. I would like to shorten the barrel to 20" or 22". Would this hurt the performance much? How should I refinish the end once it has been chopped? thanks
