Accuracy problems after B&C Medalist inatall: suggestions?
I have a Rem. 700 5R and just replaced the HS precision stock with a Bell and Carlson Medalist varmint tactical. My barrel is bigger around than the "standard heavy barrel" thatthe stock is designed for, so I had to sand it out to fully float it. Did some minor inletting to allow factory bottom...- IHutch5R

Ruger 10/22 Target tactical VLEH

Steel vs. Aluminum rings .308?
I just bought a 700 ss 5r in .308. My local gun shop is telling me I dont need steel rings for this caliber. Is this correct?? Oh, and if you feel like this is a "dumb" question.. I dont need to be ridiculed. Thanks!- IHutch5R

Weaver: rings & base reviews please
I just purchased a Rem. 700 ss 5r milspec in .308 along with a Vortex viper pst 6 24 50. I am just about broke and Weaver has great prices for rings and bases. Any suggestions on other good/ inexpensive hardware, or reviews on Weaver rings and bases would be appreciated. Thanks!- IHutch5R
