    Reloading kits?

Also, when it comes time to trim your cases, buy the Lee case trimmer. You can get cartridge specific trimmers for $9 instead of shelling out $100 for a full kit from another manufacturer. And if you want speed, you can hook the Lee trimmer into your drill. Sent from extended ranges using Tapatalk

    Powder for 300WM?

I've shot out to 1300 yards with 180 gr bullets, and IMR4350. 168s were pretty bad SS out to 800 yards. Sent from extended ranges using Tapatalk

My new long range rifle, Savage 10fcp-k

I grew up a Remington fan, but just recently joined "the dark side" with a Savage 110 BA in .338 Lapua. I was VERY happy with the .5 MOA and under groups it was getting with soft points. Some serious bang for your buck with the Savages! Some advice...unless you're making huge $$$ and are busy...

What kind of precision do you expect from various rifles?

If I can't hit a dinner plate off of a bipod, with rear support, at the generally approved max effective range of the cartridge chambered, I'm not interested. When I hunt, it's for the meat, so I only make headshots...which means I need high field accuracy, plus dependability. And plus, I like...

You have $10,000. What do you build?

I'd buy a PROOF Research Tactical in .338 Lapua, and top it with US Optics glass. Sent down from the heavens using Tapatalk

    7 Rem Mag

I shoot a lot of long range in the back country, and stay away from the narrow necked rounds that go faster than 3000 fps because of throat erosion, and increased copper fouling. My guns don't get the luxury of being cleaned after 20 rounds when I'm way out, so I've stuck with .308, .300 Win...

    Case pressure

I did this once in a FAL rifle. If your mixed brass is military, you MUST reduce your starting load by 10% and work up. The brass is thicker, so there's more pressure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Barrel break in

I like to run a cleaning jag with JB Bore Cleaning Compound on it down the barrel about 20-40 times before shooting, then clean the same every time between 3 shot strings while I'm developing the proper handload. By the time I find the perfect load, the barrel is broke in. Sent down from the...

    Best el-cheapo build starter

Most good quality 22s are gonna shoot better than you. I've won lots of rim fire matches against race style 10/22s with a 1949 Mossberg bolt action. Most semi autos have a slower lock time than a bolt gun, so unless you're bench rest shooting (and willing to pay top $$ for match 22), buying a...
