    Made Myself a Tripod Table

This was more of an excuse to design and build than anything. I've barely used it, but it's been a fun build and I actually want to improve it even though I don't have much use for it: You can kind of...

Not so useful, but fun to make, tritium ill, rail mounted level

I always liked the KAC level, but thought it would be better with tritium. I'm still working on this one, but it looks like all the hard work is out of the way. Remaining steps are just to contour the back, and decide if I want to do a recessed nut or brass insert for the cleat. This was a...

    KRG Midas trigger

That's great news. I assumed after the reports of the shoe being so difficult to move, that's what happened. I'm glad it turned out to be such a minor issue for me that I have no problems waiting, and using the trigger in the mean time.

Anyone 3D print Magnetospeed Sporter rail mount?

I made something similar back when I had a sporter. I printed an internal and external block to better support the device. Eventually I cut the housing because my brakes were still getting in the way. I also made that bore spacer to put the sensor 1/8” off the bore.

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

Also BDU. Liberty optics would be my first choice, Scott has always provided great service. $1800 with rings definitely seems like it could be more than new price depending on the rings/mount.

    Quasi-Functional Level

I always liked the sleek look of the KAC bubble level. And I like tritium. So I’ve been thinking about making something similar with trit illumination, and finally this last weekend I started on it. This is still just a proof of concept, using an 8mm diameter level and 2 3mm diameter tritium...

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

That’s quite disappointing. I’d be very not happy. Hopefully they respond to you with a good sense of urgency and intent to recover.

    KRG Midas trigger

I recently got mine in too, of the new batch. The trigger show slides very easily when loosened, but oddly, it tilts out to the left of the trigger guard when tightened. If it tighten it good and finger tight, the bottom of the shoe will sit outside of the left side of the trigger guard. It...

Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!

I’m left handed as well, and also have only shot right hand actions. I can shoot righty pretty easily as I learned both early. I’ve never shot a left handed action before.

    Looking at Bergara

It’s like when you read a 1 Star yelp review of a burger joint, and it’s because they used a portobello mushroom as the vegan burger patty instead of an impossible burger. ??‍♂️

    Poor CS w/ MDT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My initial experience with MDT’s CS was imperfect but perfectly satisfactory given the circumstance. I told them that when they asked, so they in turn switched it up and made it perfect. I hope OP gets the same type of outcome.

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

I have 2 so far and I’m more than happy with them, and H59 (3.6-18) and CCH (7-35). Both are imperfect reticles for me, but neither are imperfect enough to overpower the great clarity and price points. And definitely not so much that I’d pay an additional $400 for another reticle. Coming from...

Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!

Swapped out my 3.6-18 for a 7-35, but I miscalculated just how much of a beast the scope is. So I milled in a relief for the bell. I’ll just need to take it to my cerakote guy to see if we can match the color, and try to get a replacement rail. I’m glad this happened though because I’d rather...

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

I burned through about 40 eld’s Trying to find a decent charge, and found nothing with velocity consistency. Then tried a smaller range with 3 different seating depths, much closer to the lands, and still couldn’t get either consistent velocity or accuracy. I kept trying at different weights...

    Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

My 308 RPR seems to just hate ELD’s with a passion. But it sure is liking old school BTHP’s. I’ve had a good load with 168’s and this past weekend I worked up some 175 CC’s. The 44gr load shot great. SD of just over 7. And workable average velocity of 2555

    Made Myself a Tripod Table

I need to get a tripod strong enough to shoot off of. Mine claims it can handle 60lbs, but that’s clearly chinese lbs.

to buy a wind meter or not

The weatherflow has worked for me, in my very limited use. It’s inexpensive enough that it’s worth it to me just to be able to prove to my girlfriend when it’s too damn hot in the living room.

Need suggestions for dual mount for SLC binos and Terrapin X.

I’ve been working on something similar as well, and have it in the DIY section of this forum (just updated last night). I came across “cheese plates” for the platform, and I made my own adjustable base, like a little tiles version of what @AIAW posted earlier. While I just adapter it to the...

    Made Myself a Tripod Table

Need to test for a couple more parts, but I should be able to have this uploaded tomorrow as an update to my files. I modified the part to fit on the smallrig pattern cheese plate. This should also do away with needing to file down the M6 bolt.

For those on the fence about Labradar

From just today. People shooting on either side of me, though not too close. No missed readings from the very first test shot. I’m not sure if the device is water resistant so I put the bag over it, and could still aim the device. All in all it was a very efficient load development day.
