    I joined a 1000yd range a few years ago we had to hit a 12" target at 800yds and tell the RO what the elevation was to hit the target. That was it. They just wanted to make sure you were actually shooting your rifle not launching small caliber artillery over the berm....LOL

    Man, to be honest I wasn't really paying attention to that I was mainly focused on shooting over the chrony for the velocity difference, but I can say I don't think there was a noticeable.
